Dr. Martin Malkus is an attorney at law at our law firm.
He advises clients on all matters relating to German and European competition law. Martin has extensive experience in advising clients on merger control cases before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office and other competition authorities worldwide. Furthermore, he advises clients on damages claims under competition law as well as on cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings. Martin also advises clients on German Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) law and coordinates FDI filings worldwide.
Martin is a member of the German Competition Law Association (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.), the Competition Law Forum Munich (Münchner Kartellrechtsforum e.V.) and the Investment Control Forum (Forum Investionsprüfung e.V.).
Martin has professional proficiency in the languages of German and English.
Martin studied Law at the Philipps University of Marburg. Research assistant at the Philipps University of Marburg. Doctor of Laws in competition law. In the years 2014 to 2019, Martin worked as an associate in the competition-law practice at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Cologne. Martin joined BUNTSCHECK in 2020.
